She has been recognized as one of the most successful businesswomen in Puerto Rico by leading publications such as The San Juan Star, De Moda, Modo de Vida and Caras magazines. Ileana's passion for design is evident in every project she undertakes, and her beloved family-run store, Palacios, is a reflection of her dedication to her craft.

In 1996, Palacios opened its doors in Puerto Rico as a furniture, tabletop, and bridal registry venue. Within six years, it grew four times in floor space and acquired a 9,000 sq. ft. warehouse. Ileana's vision to acquire the best lines of tabletop and furniture from Europe were simply a recipe for success. Palacios is now run by Ileana and her two daughters, Ileana and Astrid, who are an integral part of the company and its continued success.

Palacios provides clients with the option to work with in-house designers and architects on their projects, overseen by Ileana herself. Over the years, Ileana has designed and worked on projects across the US and internationally, including Miami, New York, Orlando, Key West, Colorado, Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic, France, and Culebra, Puerto Rico. Ileana's dedication to bringing new trends in design to her clients is evident in her frequent trips to exhibitions and related shows, ensuring that Palacios remains ahead of the curve in the industry.
